The Chamber's primary purpose is to be a strong advocate for business in our community. The Chamber provides a forum for our members to identify and address critical issues and concerns. As a result, our legislative and business development action committees influence decision makers at the local, county, and state levels.
Our business community is also strengthened by networking, referrals, partnerships, and exchange of information made possible through membership in the Chamber. With its many activities, the Chamber also identifies and develops leaders. Business owners are vested in the overall health and well being of our communities and bring their successful business skills and practices to the greater community.
Our communities, which once were well known for the many vacation resorts built along our rivers and lakes, are changing rapidly into strong suburban centers. The Preferred Business Directory is another example of how the Chamber is working to connect and communicate with our growing community. This is our home, too, and we want what's best for everyone who lives and works here.
The Chamber recognizes its responsibility to support and promote the entire community. Our Chamber values our businesses, our residents, our schools, and our visitors. The Greater Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of the business and professional people of the area joining together for the purpose of providing leadership, promoting a healthy economic base, and elevating the overall standard of living while enhancing the general welfare of the area.
Vision-History Statement
The Greater Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in 1965. We are committed to providing leadership and service to our growing community through:
