    Timothy W. Lemon was born in Long Beach California and moved to Bremerton Washington by way of New York City. He spent his childhood years growing up in Bremerton, Port Orchard and Olympia before his families moved to Gig Harbor in his early teen years were he graduating from Peninsula High School in 1980. Tim currently lives with his wife Cathy in Hobart and has three sons living in the Maple Valley Covington area and a daughter living in Gig Harbor. Tim joined the Fire Service right out of High School and is a graduate of the Washington State Fire Academy. He has also completed Fire Service course studies at Tacoma Community College, Pierce College and Bellevue Community College. Tim has given back to the Fire Service as an instructor teaching at BATES Technical College, Pierce College, the Washington State Fire Academy, King County Officer Development Academy and special classes for numerous fire districts throughout the Puget Sound area. Tim joined the Key Peninsula Fire Department in May 1980 and advanced up through the ranks to Assistant Chief of Operations prior to taking a position with Maple Valley Fire & Life Safety as their Training/Health/Safety Chief in October 1995. Tim was promoted to Assistant Chief of Operations a year later and became the Maple Valley Fire Chief in February 2002. Tim served as the President of the King County Fire Chief's Association in 2005 and 2006, he is a past member of the Regional Trauma Council, served as Valley Communication's Contract Agencies Representative, past chairperson of the King County Zone 3 Fire Chief's is a current active member of the Washington State Fire Chief's Association and the International Fire Chief Association Tim's community memberships included the Maple Valley/Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce, Maple Valley Rotary Club and a past charter member of the Key Peninsula Lions Club.
